DIY Wood floor back/floor drop
How many of you out there have looked into purchasing those amazing wood floor back drops?? I know I have and they are expensive!!!! So I did some shopping around.. I went to my local Lowes store and checked out the laminate flooring.. They had a great faux wood laminate and it was on clearance!! The great thing about this flooring.. Its not papery thin.. So i don't have to worry about it ripping.. and it will be great for those first year cake smash photos.. because the flooring is made for the kitchen it will clean right up!!! So before you go spending all that money on wood floor backdrops and waiting to have it shipped to you.. Go check out your local Lowes or Home Depot!! I bet you can save a lot of money!!!

Photo Prop DIY
So today I thought I'd share one of my favorite DIY photo props!!! I know you have seen them!! They seem to be everywhere lately!!
You can find ones like this at Micheal's!!
Or you can find ones like this at any of your antique shops or go digging around in grandpa's old barn..
Then you can grab some craft paint.. I personally like pastels, especially for newborns, babies, and kids, Or if you like the antique look you can leave them as you find them!
Be sure to paint them inside and out and don't miss a spot because it will be sure to show up in you pictures!!!
Then you end up with something like this!!!! Hope you enjoy... This is a fun little project.. And if you have children just take it project out side and they can help paint too!!!

New Logo
I would like to thank EVERYONE that submitted a logo into our contest! There were so many GREAT designers that offered up their design services to us!! I would recommend ANY of the ones listed below!!
But we could only choose one and it was SO hard to pick our favorite!! BUT, we would like to send a HUGE thanks and congratulations to Nickel Photography & Design It was such a pleasure working with you!! Our new logo is so FaBuLoUs!! Thanks again to all the great designers that participated!! This was not an easy decision!!!
